Greg Villalobos

TET Website & Communications

Greg is an award winning film maker, story teller, strategist and dirt bike rider. In 2012 he embarked on an ambitious project to ride 2000 miles through the UK without a map relying on the kindness of dirt bike strangers to lead the way. He made a film about it.

Skip forwards a few years and Greg found himself working with Adventure Spec on all sorts of exciting projects including an idea to create a dirt road map through not just the UK but the whole of Europe. It was a dream gig.

Working with John Ross and the Adventure Spec team Greg set about creating the Trans Euro Trail website, brand and community space. It was a busy few months and none of the team really knew quite how much impact this idea was going to have, let alone how many people it would reach (35,000 followers at last count).

Greg continues to help support the TET team and steer the ship through calm and sometimes stormy waters to help ensure the longevity of this fantastic project. He loves it.

João Pereira

Author of the TET App

I’m a 36 year old develop and I mostly do software development and website work for the company where i work.

I started mostly doing local Enduro rides with friends at work, with small 250CC motorcycles, did only that for some years until in 2019 i started getting interested in long-distance adventure rides.

After trying out an AJP PR7 i immediately new i would have to own one, it felt like the perfect type of motorcycle for the type of rides i wanted. I was actually involved in some aspects of the development of this motorcycle, like the Tablet Launcher app. My commercial app, Drive Mode Dashboard, is the evolution of the Tablet Launcher app, so it all started because of the PR7.
This app was my starting point into the world of navigation and when i discovered the TET i immediately knew i could contribute with something useful to the project.

That was the birth of the TET App, a solution for Android users to download the GPX tracks, report track problems to the Linesman, get notification about track updates, view the track and select specific sections of the track to open.
