Calais to Le Harve on the french tet

Post by monsteruk » Tue Jan 22, 2019 3:09 pm

Hi All,

In June this year I am hoping (as a solo rider) to do a 450 mile stretch of the tet in France. The route… starting in Calais and following the trail south, passing to the left of Paris, before heading west on the trail toward Le Harve (it looks like about 450 miles in total). I have a few simple questions if anyone could help out?

1. Assuming a novice rider, how many days would it take to ride that 450 mile section without going mad?
2. For that section, how much is road, and how much is off-road?
3. For the off-road sections, are they easy trails, or are there any particularly technical stretches? I am a relatively novice off-roader, riding an Africa Twin (may swap for a smaller bike). Any ideas of parts to avoid (if any) would be really useful.

Any help on the above, much appreciated!

Thanks all.
