TET Belgium Waver to Denderwindeke

Post by Hugo » Sun Jan 28, 2018 10:29 pm

EDIT: route version added

What: one day trip
Where: TET Belgium part from Waver underneath E411 to Denderwindeke centre
Route version: TET-BELGIUM-20180112
Length: 102 kms
Weather: dry
Conditions: very wet
Time needed: approx. 4hrs (lunch, coffee break etc incl.)
Bike: Yamaha xt660r
Tires: Mitas e09
Luggage: amphibious 45L
Bike drops: 2
Complaints: 1 trespassing private property

First of all, I HAD A BLAST! After cruising some familiar routes, I picked up TET Ad Waver underneath the E411 Highway. From there the TET route started as mainly asphalt. Don't worry, you won't be bored! Soon you will see the “butte du lion” ad the horizon! Once you pass this point, the asphalt makes way for more and more off road sections which were, due to the very wet conditions, not only fun, but also very tough and somehow tricky to ride! My front wheel lost its grip several times today causing 2 falls. In this part, several gas stations can be found close to, or on the TET route. I did not have the opportunity to scout for camp spots or nice coffee stops.

I was very happy I brought:
my pocket knife
hot coffee
warm clothes to keep warm during breaks

I was stupid enough to forget:
basic tools
chocolate

The specs at the start are a great idea.
Nice report. Where was the complaint about trespass and was it really?

All my opinions and comments are worth exactly what you pay for them.

I have send the data to the linesmen. It looks like it really was private property. Ialso i just find out I was riding the previous version so this might be allready solved!
