Re: From santander to Andorra - TET or road. Help please!

Given the time you've got I think you're going to have to bite the road bullet if you want to ride the trails around Andorra. The TET is a meandering, zigzagging route that, even in the places where you're seemingly covering ground at a fair pace on wide gravel roads, takes a lot longer than direct...

From santander to Andorra - TET or road. Help please!

Hi all, As two novice off-roaders (me on a Honda CRF250 Rally and a friend on an Africa Twin DCT) we are off to the Spanish TET (and other trails in Andorra) this coming September. We are getting the ferry from England to Santander, arrive on a Monday and need to be back in Santander the following M...

Calais to Le Harve on the french tet

Hi All, In June this year I am hoping (as a solo rider) to do a 450 mile stretch of the tet in France. The route… starting in Calais and following the trail south, passing to the left of Paris, before heading west on the trail toward Le Harve (it looks like about 450 miles in total). I have a few si...

Re: Southern part of the Netherlands TET - advice needed!

Hello Roy, The Southern part is my back yard. As Ard already said, there are some nice sandboxes here. I will be glad to guide you through or around them. Let me know when exactly you will be there. Only not in the first week of June, as I will then be still on the TET Macedonia. I drive a Suzuki D...

Re: Southern part of the Netherlands TET - advice needed!

I know who has the X for sale now and he's in the UK (Winchester I think) so if you're willing to see if it's your thing let me know Roy. Many thanks Ard, thanks for the views on the other bikes, and the X recommendation - it sounds a good contender which I had not considered... I will do a little ...

Re: Southern part of the Netherlands TET - advice needed!

The stretch from the Belgian border to Beek is at a guess 60% off-road. (I never checked it to be honest). From Beek to the ferry is all road ! There simply isn't anything worth changing the route for, without massive detours. The AT is a pretty heavy bike, loaded up more so. For the novice rider t...

Southern part of the Netherlands TET - advice needed!

Hi All, First post on the tet forum, so please be kind! :-) In June this year, I am hoping (as a solo rider) to do the south part of the tet in the Netherlands, starting at the bottom (near Eindhoven) and heading north-east as far as Beek, before heading west toward Amsterdam(if you look at the tet ...

Northern part of the French TET - advice needed!

Hi All, First post on the tet forum, so please be kind! :-) In June this year, I am hoping (as a solo rider) to do the very north part of the tet in France, starting in calais and heading west / south, before heading east toward Belgium (turning toward the east near Wavrans-sur-l'Aa), and following ...
