Re: Unfashionable TET bikes or total no nos

Hi, Your main trouble will be the weight, there is not really a lot you can do about that, besides travelling light. Knobbies would definitely help in muddy situations, though most here seem to ride normal 50/50 tires since they provide the best of both worlds. Besides that, its 20% gear and 80% rid...

Re: TET - Style on-the-go Navigation?

Hi, thanks for your reply. I got curious and installed Brouter on my old android phone. If I understand it correctly, it however only calculates a route which is then automatically imported into a full navigation app. (They suggest OsmAnd which I used as well) While that is quite impressive and prob...

TET - Style on-the-go Navigation?

Hey guys, There is in issue keeping me busy for some time now. I'm using Navigon for iOS for on-road Navigation. I found out that its bicycle mode is terrible for bicycling but actually good for adventure style motorcycling. The reason is that it prefers the smallest possible roads which are legal f...

Re: Swiss-TET

As far as I know (e.g. read on the forums) the swiss TET is mainly paved, and yes this seems to be a general issue in central Europe. Due to highly developed infrastructure and high population densities its rare to find legal offroad tracks. In the european periphery and eastern Europe thats a diffe...

Someone based in or somewhere around Graz? Would be great to ride together or at least share legal off road tracks.

Re: Osmand on iPhone 6s gpx import troubles..

Hey, my answer might come late, but maybe it can still be helpful. For me it works the following way: 1. Open pop-up Menu on the left 2. Choose "my Trips" 3. Choose "All Trips". There it should appear.

Hi, yes please send me some photos. I'm also curious about your plastic protection bag, wondering how that works. You're sending me pm here on the forum, right?

Re: Smartphone & Mount for TET (and road navigation)

That probably depends on how you use it. I sometimes do 10 hour rides. I always have my display on and some navigation apps need a lot of juice. I highly doubt that an average phone battery could last that long in those conditions. I'm guessing more like 2 hours. Lets say I'm on the way home and it ...

Re: Smartphone & Mount for TET (and road navigation)

Hey guys, thanks for your answers. @Staubteufelchen: Having a second battery is a nice idea. However I think there are few phones with a removable battery. Even so, I would need a separate battery charger (does that even exist nowadays?) and also changing batteries in the rain really sucks. @Meetche...

Re: X grip mount and / or cat s30 phone

Guys, how do you charge your phones in case it rains? Waterproof phones either have rubber plugs for the charge port or turn the charge port off when wet. I need my navigation to work during rain also...
