Re: Difficult Climb - Monte Jafferau

Hey @tam so this section is open to bikes year around, no tolls or closed days etc.?
Sounds like a nice detour. So would you suggest staying in Savoulx, leaving all the gear behind and doing this route (circuit) as a day trip?

Re: Section CH-ITA-3-2 (Gondo-Borgosesia-Bardonecchia) with Africa Twin?

I think it is far more the rider than the bike, or the tires. I am far from a good rider, but I am always ready for a challenge. This part of the TET was great fun (except for the crazy temps back a few weeks ago. I almost cooked in my jacket). I look forward to coming back and continuing another ti...

Re: TET onto Google Maps
Just make one yourself . Turn on gpx tracking when going to work or supermarket or whatever . Then use that track to guide you home
Yes but that was exactly what was missing. I did not get to a point I could make my own GPX track. Chicken and Egg Thanks anyway. I think I know what t...

Re: TET onto Google Maps

Will have to try this out.
Problem with testing is that I do not have a track that I can use in my local area
I will try this out next time I am on the road.
Thanks

Re: Section CH-ITA-3-2 (Gondo-Borgosesia-Bardonecchia) with Africa Twin?

Hi, I was in this section of Italy TET about 3 weeks ago. I also ride a Honda Africa Twin with TKC70s. Similar tyres I guess, you may even have more offroad bias than me. (BTW how do you find these tyres on the road?) I Started in Arona and got to the Alpe Soglia mountain climb (Corio) I was also tr...

Thanks for that info, Still hoping you would answer the question about direction. Clockwise or counterclockwise?

Re: Difficult Climb - Monte Jafferau

Hi all, I climbed the Monte Jafferau from the west today (from the sky facility) and I really had a bad time. I would not advise it for big bikes...at least uphill. Even if you got a smaller bike, I would recommend to ride it the other way, from east to west. In my opinion, it’s much nicer because ...

summer 2019 TET sections 1-4 conditions

Hi all, Was wondering if anyone has already ridden sections 1-4 of the Italy TET this summer yet? Any tips or advice? I am doing research for this section of TET and have the following info so far for these sections: Northern end of section 1 and Western end of section 2 These are where the really h...
